Regarding the automatric operation of electric parking brakes fitted for vehicles used exclusively for passenger use with a passenger capacity of 10 or more, and vehicles used for transporting cargo, the following requirements will be added .
[Requirements]
・The parking brake must be automatically applied when the vehicle is detected to be stopped and any of the following conditions are met.
(a) the ignition/start switch is off or the key is removed;
(b) When it is determined that the driver has left the driver's seat by detecting the opening of the door or the release of the seat belt, or when there is no operation by the driver for more than 30 seconds on the bus.
・The automatic operation may be canceled by the driver's operation.
