タンザニアは中国の穀物保存の専門知識を活用することを求めています
ジャカヤ・キクウェテ大統領は中華人民共和国の李克強首相に穀物の保護と保存に関する新しい技術支援を要求しています。

Tanzania: Dar Seeks to Tap Chinese Grain Storing Expertise
PRESIDENT Jakaya Kikwete
has requested the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of China, Mr
Li Keqiang, to help Tanzania with new techniques of
preserving and storing grains following massive harvest of crops.
Mr Kikwete made the request on
Wednesday evening in Nigeria's capital city, Abuja, where global leaders
are attending the World Economic Forum
(WEF).
The statement issued by the
Directorate of Presidential Communications yesterday noted that the
leaders also held talks on various issues connected with
China-Tanzania relationship.
In response, Mr Li agreed to help
Tanzania to enable it effectively store crops noting that his country
would ensure that the project is implemented. Mr Kikwete
appealed to the Chinese Prime Minister to help fast track
implementation of the construction of Bagamoyo Port.
"Mr Li also agreed to help in
assuring that the project is timey carried out," the statement said.
President Kikwete on the other hand commended the Chinese
government on its recently announced strategy dubbed 4-6-1.
The strategy outlines four
principles, six major priorities and one core area depicting Chinese
overseas politics. He also extolled the government of the
People's Republic of China for its unyielding support to African
countries.
The support has been in terms of aid, investments and also helping the countries acquire modern technologies.
He also pointed out that China was
among big countries in the world which have intensively invested in
Tanzania with its total investment amounting to 2.5
billion US dollars.
"We greatly thank the Chinese government for intensively investing in our country.
The most highly-cherished support
from you being a loan of about 1.2 billion US dollars you gave us to
help accomplish construction of the 512-kilometre pipeline
from Mtwara to Dar es Salaam," Mr Kikwete noted.
He also thanked the Chinese
government for its military support it has been extending to Tanzania,
saying "our country is well defended due to your
support."
The Chinese Premier congratulated
Tanzania for marking 50 years of the Union between Tanganyika and
Zanzibar, expressing gladness over economic development the
country has been recording.
He added that China-Tanzania
friendship has been the major milestone for the well-cemented
relationship between China and other African countries.
