カーペンターズの
「トップ・オブ・ザ・ワールド」を
初めて聴いたのは
確か中学校1年生の頃だったと思う。
この曲が入っていたアルバムは
前作の「A Song For You」になる。
(この動画の日本語訳はちょっとイマイチな気がします。。。)
中学生の頃から
ずっと気になっていたのが
「ズンダッ!」って聴こえた部分で
なんだこれは・・・って。
歌詞を見ると
Such a feeling’s coming over me

となっいる。
大人になって
英語の発音には
リダクション、リエゾン
がある事を知って
やっと納得出来ました。
つまり赤文字の部分
eyesのsとAnd Iが全て繋がった音が
私には「ズンダッ!」って聴こえたわけですね。
