Had omelet doria for breakfast on the 2nd morning in Osaka. Doria is something you don't see often, except at Japanese own restaurants in San Francisco.
Don't count calories now, cos it's 0c=36f out there, nonetheless, I didn't get hungry for a long time after this omelet doria!
Therefore, my dinner was sushi that day.
Omakase Sushi 2000 yen for 10 pieces plus an additional piece of Oyster 330 yen seems as one-third of what we pay in San Francisco, where a restaurant bill also adds tips and server health fee share.
Moreover, each fish tasted so better than sushi in the bay area. I feel more moisture in fish.
For a long time, I didn't taste Fugu shirako = puffer fish egg, and this one from Nagasaki was sweet and tasty.
Another night, I saw people rushing into a Yakitori restaurant, and some people were standing and waiting inside.
Tonight I visited that place.
Mizuna salad
Though I feel seasoning in Osaka restaurants has become strong, 甘辛 way.
The taste of Osaka and Kansai for me was more like the ingredients themselves, if not dashi. Yet these days, almost everything got strong sauces.
浦島太郎 effect?
I guess I shall have more washoku, while I can.
