It s a part of preparing for the Lunar New Year in Vietnam. From 23-30 December ( Lunar Calendar ), people can choose a day to make this feast.
Family members, usually, gather together in this day.
The purpose here, is to invite our passed relatives...Accestors to back to have a feast, and prepare to have A New Year Eve with family too.
