I absolutely love turquoise! I love silver!, who doesn't? I cannot get over how happy people are becoming over online jewelry sources! There, you can peruse as long as you want, take forever, if you'd like. All I know, it's really quite the trendy way to shop, right now.
There are only a few rows of samples in your local jewelry stores, but online, it is almost endless. Looking at your options, I'd say why not online? Some stores are afraid to go out of the main stream, but online stores, give you everything from dainty, to the biggest chunks of turquoise, amber, jasper, whatever it is that you like. That's the most fun, finding what you like, and being able to sit and look at it for hours, if you want to.
Here's what we found to be some of the hottest looks going:
1. Sterling silver with large chunks of turquoise, usually large cabachon.
2. Liquid silver strands. Usually necklaces and bracelets. They are hollow silver tube beads that are just gorgeous in long strands around your neckline, strung on silver wire.
3. Stones like jasper, quartz, roman glass, amethyst, are big, especially in big chunks in rings. They pair up quite nicely with silver, as well. Faceted emeralds and other gemstones, are always in fashion. Finding them paired with marcasite or sterling silver, are big right now. Some synthetic stones are hard to tell from genuine stones, they seem to keep getting better and better, which makes it possible for most shoppers to at least get the look their going after.
More and more, we're seeing pill boxes, watches, key rings, all adorned with gems. It's a nice gift to give as well.
4. Shell jewelry and pearls, are always favored as classics. Pairing with either gold, or silver, you can own some great looking jewelry, just by looking for sales. Sometimes, finding pearls on a leather neck lace, or ribbon, can give you a great look, without having to add the price of more expensive silver or gold chains or bracelets.
