Today is Tanabata in Japan.
I almost forgot it.........
When I was working in a hotel, we prepared bamboo branches and strips of paper for customers.
It's good especially for customers from abroad because this became a good oppotunity to let them know one of Japanese cultures.
I think it's also gonna be a good oppotunity for older people to look back on their childhood.
I found it sooo difficult to explain exactly what Tanabata is in English.....
This festival is based on a Chinese legend which has a long story about a couple (Orihime&Hikoboshi) separated in the Milky Way.
It's believed that your wish comes true if you write it on a strip of paper and hang it on bamboo branches on the day.
It doesn't matter however many papers you use.
I mean you can make as many wishes as you want ![]()

I hope the sky will be clear to see the stars tonight![]()
