I met 3 beautiful women from Higashi-Hiroshima at Hayari no gohan yesterday. I felt their free, open atmosphere and really relaxed. I was also impressed by their rich ideas and energy. I also got some hint of dreams in the future.
After that, I told my friend about my dreams. I have really appriciated her understanding and support.
I attended a study meeting of English teachers for children last week. It was really stimulating for me. I could get good imformation, good ideas for my class. I will use the idea in my class soon. The members of the meeting are very excellent, energetic and filled with a sense of mission to contribute to the English education for Japanese children.
One of the teacher told us what she learned at the seminar of J-SHINE.
It was about how Japanese people in Meiji era had contributed to Japanese language. They learned new knowledge, new technology, new concept from Western world. Then they made efforts to produce the new Japanese language for translation.
On the other hand, other asian countries learned the western culture in English directly and didn't translate. Maybe, that's one of the reason Japanese people can't speak English fluently. In some asian countries, people can use English fluently for communication.
I don't want to judge it' s good or bad. I would rather appriciate the contribution for the Japanese language.
I thought there was some buisiness Japanese people have to think about.

先週、児童英語講師の勉強会に行き、刺激を受けてきました。
授業に関する良い情報、アイデアを得ました。すぐに使うつもりです☆
勉強会のメンバーのある先生が、Ｊ－ＳＨＩＮＥのセミナーでのことをシェアしてくださいました。
明治時代、西洋から様々な知識、技術、概念がもたらされ、その翻訳ののために努力をしてくれた日本人のこと。日本にはない概念を伝えるために新しい言葉を生み出してくれたんですね。
一方、他のアジアの国々は西洋文化を自国の言葉に訳さず、直接英語で学んできました。もしかしたら、これが、日本人が流暢に英語を話せない理由のひとつかもしれませんね。コミュニケーションのための英語を自由に使えるアジアの国々が実際に存在します。
これがいいとか悪いとか言っても意味がないですし、むしろ、日本語を豊かにしてくださった先人に感謝したいと思います。
日本人が考えなければならない問題がここらへんにあるな～と感じました。

先日出会った素敵なヨガのインストラクター、枝美穂さんに教えていただいた本です。

こどもの英語教室を始めてから、大人の方で英語に挑戦したいと思われている方が多いな～という印象を持っています。私は大人の方を教える勉強をしていないのですが、何か参考にしていただけそうなことをこちらでお知らせしてみますね。
たとえばですが、ヨガの先生ならこういった本で英語に触れると、ヨガの時に使う語彙が増えますね～。
ご自分の興味のあることから学ぶと楽しい＆英語を使用する機会に恵まれる可能性が広がるかもしれませんね♡わくわく。
