Diane"We came out here to see the real Prince Edward,so I musr asl that you don't pay me any mind and just act normally."

P.Edward"Normally...well..."

He floded his arms and titled his head to the side.

(Maybe there aren't any real differences between him on and off duty...)

P.Edward"I want to find out more about things you think would suit me."

P.Edward"I feel like I might have a chance to meet an Edward I don't normally get to see."

Diane"An Edward you don't normally see...?"

P.Edward"Yes.I've always tened to wear more plain clothing."

P.Edward"I'm sure any fashion that you chose for me would be exciting."

Diane"You don't mind branching out from what you're used to?"

P.Edward"I welcome it.That's why I brought you into the royal hosegold,afterall."

I felt like I'd just been given free license to work how I wanted,and the freedom made me giddy.

We proceeded down the street,and this time it was Prince Edward who stopped moving and walked toward a window."

When I stood next him and peered through the window,I saw a pair of men's boots.

P.Edward"Those are very nice."

Actually,there were two pairs on display.

We had to walk down the main street on our way to the macaron store.

The main street was lined with boutiques,and the colorful window dosplays were filled with the lastest fashions.

(...I haven't been out shopping in a while.)

I felt happy and excited.

A scarf in one of the windows caught my attention.

(Ah...I bet that would look good on Prince Edward.)

I stopped,and Prince Edward paused to look in the window too.

Diane"The scarf..."

P.Edward"It's very nice."

Diane"I think it would suit you,Your Highness."

P.Edward"Really?I don't have many of that type of scarf."

Diane"I'm sure if would look good on you.I hope I can make glasses that would suit it..."

I changed my gaze to focus on the whole window.

Spotting his reflection,I suddenly noticed that Prince Edward was gazing at me.

I looke up at him,and he smiled gently at me.

P.Edward"You really do like fashion.You eyes are shining even more brightly than normal."

Diane"I'm sorry,I think a bit carried away..."

P.Edward"No,I did say that I wanted to get know the real you."

P.Edward"I'm happy that I was able to see your reaction to the display."

(...I'm sure we came out so I could get to know his private side...when did the tables turn?)

P.Edward"Please keep this on."

P.Edward"If you are seen out with me,you are likely to encounter many problems..."

P.Edward"I don't want to see that happen to you."

He smiled a lonely smile.

I hesitated,and the warmth from his body heat still left in the hat seeped into me.

(Should I really wear this...?)

I looked up hesitantly,and Prince Edward deftly pocked my nose.

P.Edward"This is our first date...look happy."

Diane"Huh?"

P.Edward"And as you said that you wanted to see the private side of me today."

P.Edward"I'm going to have to ask you to forget about my royal title."

Diane"...You mean,you want me to act normal?"

P.Edward"Yes.I want to see how you act when you're being yourself."

P.Edward"Is it soon much to request that today can be just another day that you walk the town with a friend?"

Diane"Ok then...Well,there's a very casual shop up ahead,but it's one I visit often.

Diane"If you inerested..."

P.Edward"I would love to see anywhere you like."

Diane"It's a macaron shop.Is that okay?"

P.Edward"Macarons?I like them."

Prince Edward's eyes were suddenly glittering.

Diane"Good!I like the raspberry flavor best.It really goes well with a mug of cafe au lait.

P.Edward"You seem to know a lot.Do you like sweet things?"

Diane"My parents rundesert store,so I always check out the popular stores..."

P.Edward"Your family runs a sweet shop?"

P.Edward"That's wonderful.I'm looking forward to eating macarons recommended by an expert."

Prince Edward smiled an invigorating smile,and my feey felt lighter as we headed for the macaron store."
