良い知らせです。今朝、子どもが生まれました。
明け方から、僕のベッドの横で、大きな声でないています。
寝室の窓の近くにある、コシアカツバメの巣の中から鳴いています。
決して、僕の子どもでありません。念の為に。
Good news. A baby was born this morning.
It has been making a loud noise since the early hours of the morning, next to my bed.
It is singing from the nest of a red-rumped swallow near the bedroom window.
It is definitely not my baby. Just to be sure.
昨年も、コシアカツバメのカップルはやって来ました。
けれど、近所のスズメたちに建築中のマイホームを壊され、彼女は去り、彼一人だけが巣の近くで「彼女募集中」とさえずり続けていたました。
しかし、今年はこれで一安心です。
Last year, a pair of red-rumped swallows came too.
However, the sparrows in the neighborhood destroyed my house under construction, and she left, leaving him alone near the nest, singing "I'm looking for a girlfriend."
But this year, I can finally relax.
鳥たちの朝はとても早いです。
明けきらない内からさえずり始め、親鳥は雛たちの食事の為に、頻繁に出入りします。
二人で交替しながら、30秒たらずから 3分間程の間隔で通っています。
その度に、巣の中の雛たちは一斉に鳴き叫びます。
これから 約3週間、僕の朝も、いやおうなしに早くなりそうです。
The birds have a very early morning.
They start singing before dawn, and the parents frequently go in and out to feed their chicks.
They take turns going in and out at intervals of less than 30 seconds to about 3 minutes.
Each time they do this, the chicks in the nest all cry out in unison.
For the next three weeks or so, my mornings will inevitably get earlier.
