A glimpse into “Elizabeth Peyton: Practice” which will kick off Friday at Beijing‘s UCCA Center for Contemporary Art. It marks the artist’s first solo exhibition in China. Peyton’s repertoire of subjects ranges from fellow artists and friends to cultural and historical figures, including Queen Elizabeth II, Angela Merkel, Jonas Kaufmann, David Bowie, and Yuzuru Hanyu.

On August 15, 2020, from 20:00 to 21:30 CST, UCCA Center for Contemporary Art is proud to invite artist Elizabeth Peyton and National Portrait Gallery Director Nicholas Cullinan @nicholascullinan to participate in a live stream dialogue with UCCA Director Philip Tinari @philiptinari and UCCA Curator Luan Shixuan @shixuan_luan, discussing Peyton’s art, her recent work as presented in “Elizabeth Peyton: Practice” and the traditions and history of portraiture. Though travel restrictions regrettably have prevented the artist from attending her opening at UCCA, we are very excited to host her for this online panel.

恒例企画のアジア版に日本人アスリートでは唯一選出
フィギュアスケートの五輪連覇王者、羽生結弦（ANA）が、「アジアで最も美しい顔100人」にノミネートされた。米批評サイトを運営するTC Candlerの主観による選出で、高い知名度を誇る。
「世界で最も美しい顔100人」は1990年より世界の女優やモデルを対象に選出されていることが知られているが、今回は男女を交えたアジア版。羽生は錚々たる女優や俳優、モデルに交じり、昨年に続いてノミネートされている。日本からは菅田将暉、古川雄輝、宮脇咲良、板野友美、モモ（TWICE）が選ばれているが、アスリートでは羽生が唯一だ。
同サイトの公式インスタグラムがノミネートの100人を顔写真つきで発表。写真で羽生は、着物姿で背筋を正し、カメラに向かって微笑みかけている。コメント欄には海外ファンからも多数の反響が寄せられている。
