On Ice Perspectives is my soul put on the ice with a camera. It’s my mind put into hours and hours of reviewing footage and editing. And it’s my heart given to not just every On Ice Perspectives video you see, but to the tens of thousands of skaters every day who skate like they’re in one.

This isn’t a business, this isn’t a job. It’s just me, followed by 100,000 people who love what I do. A special thank you to the 232 people who support this project monthly on Patreon, and the dozens more who donate when they can through other means. Your financial support has been worth more than dollars to me. It’s given me the courage to dream and pursue my passion in the way I feel is right.

I need to ease up on posting this month, to catch up on off-ice work but also to prepare for the many months I’ll be away in the UK filming for Dancing On Ice. I’ll still be traveling and filming in November, like at the Synchro Challenger Series in Irvine next week, but the majority of my editing and posting will resume in December.

Now is such a great time to be an international skating fan. The ISU is streaming every Grand Prix on YouTube wherever it isn’t broadcast. New podcasts and skating blogs are popping up on every medium. And skaters and coaches are paving new ways to reach an audience through social media. I’m proud to be one of those who are helping to build appreciation for this sport in new ways and for new audiences, and I will continue to do so in every way I can.
