今日、スワミジ150年生誕記念を迎え、
これまで日印交流においては、
日本の経済的・技術上の支援がインドの物質的繁栄に大きく貢献してきた
一方で、インドもまた多くの日本人に霊的な支援を与えてきました。
さらに、仏陀にちなんだインドの巡礼地を訪れる従来の日本人の伝統に加えて、
近年はアーユルヴェーダやヨガなど健康管理法や
舞台芸術や音楽における文化面にも
日印交流が及んでいることは、
地球規模での人類の発展に大いに貢献するものであります。
私たちは、「ふるさと」を日本語で歌いました。
「日本人は世界で最も清潔な人々です。
全てがきちんと整頓されています。
どの通りも幅広く、まっすぐで均一に舗装されています。」
「身のこなしや立ちい振る舞いなど
すべてが絵のようです。
日本は絵になる国です！」

また、シスターニヴェデタスクールでは、
15冊程の本を私たち一人一人にくださいました。
それから、間もなく取り壊される予定になっている発祥の地の古い建物を
ご案内くださいました。
マハーラージとお分かれした後、
ラーマクリシュナの熱心な在家の信者であったBalaramの家が徒歩で直ぐのところにあり、
シュリ・ラーマクリシュナとその弟子たちが交流し、
多くのGOSPELがこの場所で垂れた、
そしてホーリーマザーが師が他界されてすぐにここに移り住んだという部屋で、
礼拝し瞑想しました。
大理石の床は清潔で明るい光が差し込む、
静謐で明るく穏やかな部屋でした。
当時、シュリ・ラーマクリシュナに道を求めて集い、
今生で神を悟るべく
特別に高い霊性の青年や若者たちやが集まったこの部屋は、
今でも聖なる明るい息吹が、活気に満ちて
鳴り響いているように感じました。
