「I became a dentist.」
４月１５日① 歯医者さんになったぞ～
Today, all schools had a half day program because of an election and the school’s office was not open. I didn’t know about this before I came to Vava’u Island. So I decided to be a dentist today.
今日は選挙の為に学校が半日になる。そして、スクールズオフィスはお休み・・・。そんなこと、ババウに来るまで知らなかった。さすがトンガ。 それで、今日は歯医者さんになることに決めた！
↑This is the hospital where my friend Ai is working as a dental hygienist. She goes around to a lot of GPS to teach how to brush their teeth everyday, so I went with her.
これは、aiちゃんが歯科衛生士として働いている病院です。aiちゃんは毎日たくさんの小学校を廻って、歯の磨き方を指導しているので、着いて行くことにした。
↑First, we visited GPS Longomapu. When we arrived a lot of students came outside immediately.
初めにlongomapu小学校へ行った。着くやいなや子ども達が外へ出てきた。
↑Ai goes around to 4 or 5 GPS and everyday and she teaches how to brush teeth.
aiちゃんは毎日４～５校、小学校を回り、歯磨きを教えている。

↑Next, we went to GPS Tu’anuku. I met Tapaita who attended my abacus workshop yesterday. After students have fluorine in their mouth they need hold it there for one minute. The moving image is the play while they are waiting.
次にTu’anuku小学校に行った。昨日そろばんワークショップに来てくれたtapaita先生に会った。 子ども達がフッ素を口に入れた後、１分待たなければならない。動画はその間の遊びです。

↑After that, we moved to GPS Tefisi. We could see very nice scenery from the school.
その後、tefisi小学校へ移動した。凄く眺めのいい小学校だった。

↑Finally we visited GPS Taoa. The last cyclone blew off the roof.
最後にtaoa小学校を訪れた。前のサイクロンで屋根が飛んでったらしい・・・。
↑By the way, in Tonga some people don’t close their doors even when the car is running. They say it’s very cool that way. But if an accident happens it’s very dangerous.
ところで、トンガでは、車に乗ってる人の何人かは扉を閉めないで走っている。涼しいから・・・って言うけど、何か起きた時めちゃくちゃ危険だと思うんだけどなぁ。 まぁ日本なら警察に止められますわねぇ。

↑At Ai’s hospital, I met my neighbor in Japan. This is a car from Joetsu city. Joetsu in Niigata prefecture is close to Nagano prefecture. In summer I used to swim in Joetsu.
aiちゃんの病院で日本の隣人にあった。上越から来た車。新潟の上越市は長野に近く、夏にはよく泳ぎに行ったもんだなぁ。
↑This is Ai’s house. It’s very clean. I envy her. We had lunch together and she told me how to make a special garlic sauce. I love garlic very much so I will try to make it soon.
aiちゃんの家です。めっちゃキレイ。うらやまし～。 一緒に昼ごはんを食べ、aiちゃんはスペシャルにんにくソースの作り方を教えてくれました。ニンニク大好き。すぐに作ろうと思います。
