Early this morning, my father briefly lost consciousness while taking a bath . I've called an ambulance, and he regained consciousness after receiving artificial respiration before it arrived.
He was then admitted to Tokyo Jikei University Kashiwa Hospital , where he underwent electrocardiograms , blood tests , and dialysis .
He was discharged from the hospital a short while ago .
This experience has made me realize how truly important it is to be prepared for the possibility of a family member losing consciousness, and how crucial it is to know how to perform artificial respiration and artificial respiration .
