いよいよあと一週間でハワイ大学演劇舞踊学科による歌舞伎「弁天娘女男白浪」が初日を迎えます
キャンパスを歩いていると、あちらこちらに宣伝が掲げられていて、ワクワクします
ところで昨日書いた「ゴーストライト」ですが、これはハワイだけではなくアメリカや一部のヨーロッパの劇場でも行われている慣習のようです
劇場に住むオバケを追い払うと言う意味だそうですが、実際には暗くなった劇場に誰かが入った際に怪我をしないようにとの心遣いのようです

I get excited when I encounter lots of publicity in the campus.
Regarding the “Ghost Light” I wrote about yesterday, I confirmed the meaning again today.
It is a custom not only in the US but also some countries in Europe to scare away ghosts live in theatres, to be honest, to avoid unnecessary accidents in total darkness, to be precise.
