Site speed is an essential element of any campaign and for good reasons. You’ve also got to prioritize index and site structure when reviewing your technical SEO – obvious choices but absolutely paramount. Google can, and does, ignore low relevance links. The worst offenders are generic links (“click here”) and even worse, off-topic links. While it’s easy to find“experts” you may want to reach out to, it’s important to remember that not everyone responds positively to such requests. Basically, inbound links tell site crawlers that your website is an authority on a certain subject -- so the more inbound links you have from high quality, high authority sites, the better your website can rank in search engine results pages (SERPs). Performing regular audits on your website’s links is a good way to detect suspicious, potential negative SEO activity. Regularly monitoring of your link profile can also help you catch a possible attack early and prevent it from spiraling out of control. Content marketing is now part of a successful SEO strategy. Google has refined what it considers good content in recent years. It it now almost impossible to get away with any gimmicky content-based tactics, such as high quantity content without quality and substance. Search engines prefer those who produced the best, most valuable content, spawning the adoption of content marketing among SEOs — and content is still king today.
