DA to rule us all

Sometimes, your blog simply doesn’t get the attention and the traffic you want it to get. If neither your ranking nor your SEO has changed, you probably just need to put in a little bit of effort The methods vary from technical practices you can achieve behind the scenes on your website (we tend to refer to this as ‘on-page SEO’) to all the promotional ’off-page’ approaches you can use to raise your site’s visibility (link-building, social media marketing). Long form content is an inbound marketing tool that has recently grown in popularity amongst marketing professionals. These pieces of content go against the trend toward smaller and more easily digestible pieces of content. Let’s not forget the speed of your site, not just because we all browse the web a lot more on our mobile devices, over not-so-broadband networks, but also because a fast site makes Google and in most cases your conversion rate happier. Including a Contact Us page on your website and putting the link in the navigation not only makes for good user experience (especially if you have an ecommerce site) but can also potentially earn you some Google juice.

Create a website that people love! Search engines were created to measure different signals across the Web so they could find out which websites people like most. Play right into their hands by making those signals real and not artificial! A local business competitor might not be your online competitor — welcome to a bigger game of tug-of-war. As you work to improve your SEO, it’s your ongoing job to stay ahead of the competition and detect emerging rivals as they climb the ranks. Trends adjusts search data to make comparisons between terms easier. Each data point is divided by the total searches of the geography and time range it represents, to compare relative popularity. Search engine crawlers and indexingprograms are basically software programs. These programs are extraordinarily powerful. They crawl hundreds of billions of web pages, analyze the content of all these pages, and analyze the way all these pages link to each other. If your content fails to provide your users with any added value or to engross them, it will not help to acquire leads and/or customers. It is impossible to predict how people will search for content and which keywords they will use to do so. So, it is advisable to create content that can fully satisfy the users’ needs. It is not just about the quantity (huge amounts of text); it’s more about the relevance of the content to potential searches.

Becoming an SEO thought leader

Standard engagement behaviours on SERP results, such as click-throughs and time on page, can be an indicator of freshness and relevance. You can generally only use one H1 tag per page, but H2 and H3 tags can be used to break up your content further Google is constantly evolving to better understand the context and intent of user behaviour. Backlink indexing is important for SEO. Google defines duplicate content as large blocks of text used across multiple pages, or even other websites, that are exactly the same or very similar. Simply put, you don’t want to use large blocks of the same text on more than one page of your website. With your core keywords grouped into buckets based on exact local monthly search volume, you will most likely notice that the longer the search query, i.e. the more words in the phrase, generally the lower the search volume. Voice Search and Mobile-First Index might drastically change that, but we’re not there yet.

Grab those URLs, set up some 301 redirects, and jump in

Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant from SEO Hull, commented: "A number of challenges have to be successfully passed in order to create a successful multilingual site that ranks well with Google." Do your maths - its one of the primary resources for this sort of thing. Its as simple as KS2 Maths. Really! The closer to the start of the title tag any given keyword is, the more likely it will be to rank for that keyword based query. The Google-led open source project AMP, or Accelerated Mobile Pages, has one goal: loading your pages as fast as possible There are plenty of business owners whose websites haven’t been updated in years who are being left behind by major shifts in digital marketing. You don’t want to be one of those people. In the long run, not changing with the times hurts your business. Keyword usage on a page is much more complicated these days. SEO professionals used to go as far as calculating the number of times a keyword appeared on a page to try to be in some kind of ideal percentage. That’s simply not applicable anymore and search engines are much smarter at deciphering what a page is about beyond seeing the same keyword used a bunch of times.

Baidu doesn't deal with Flash and JavaScript

Although word count doesn’t rule the SEO world – nobody will read your stuff if it’s not helpful to them. The key is to consistently deliver value so that people come to your site for answers. And this is also ironically what will get other good sites to link to your site. This is the perfect example of ‘emergent SEO’. There is no evidence that adding a lot of content at one time can hurt a site if the content is of high quality. Google cares deeply about the indexed age of both your site and its content. A brand new site that's a newcomer to Google is going to have a far harder time ranking on its SERPs than a site that has indexed age. By putting out content, not only does it help you create brand awareness, foster relationships with customers and attract new ones, it also helps you stand out from the competition.

DA to rule them all

Flash, undoubtedly tempts attraction, but it has the bad side too. Flash is like Hulk- Big and Bulky! Flash objects are famous for overloading and even crashing web pages. Another loophole with flash is that it is incompatible with mobile devices. Everyone is familiar with the expression “content is king.” Without rich content, you will find it difficult to achieve good rankings with specific keywords and to direct traffic to your website. Link building is a long-term project that never ends, and it is a natural part of the ongoing marketing cycle. In order to remain relevant to both search engines and human beings alike, you need to regularly acquire fresh links for your website. Fresh links create exposure to new audiences and signal continuing engagement to search engines. When improving your page speed, you should always ask yourself if you need all these assets, libraries, images, plugins, theme features and so on. The famous saying “less is more” is still as valuable as ever. Google will penalize spammy sites, and unfortunately this causes some bad behavior from bad actors. Say, for example, you wanted to take out a competitor. You could send a bunch of obviously spammy links to their site and get them penalized. This is called “negative SEO,” and is something that happens often in highly contested keywords. Google generally tries to pretend like it doesn’t happen.
