It is "Tanabata" today.

There has been a special event on Tanabata in Hakodate city since Edo period.
It is that children visits neighbors and local stores to collect candles, we call it "Rousoku Morai".
And now, children are given sweets insted candles.

Children dressed in Yukata were visiting stores and houses which display bamboo grass which is a sign of "we are preparing sweets for children" in town here and there.
It is very lively just like Halloween.
There are still many local customs which I don't know.

When I was aiming a trams under the sunset grow, children run through infront of the tram.
Did they get many sweets?
