久しぶりにシアターで映画を観ました。
「レッドツェッペリン〜ビカミング」、
メンバーの生い立ちからバンドの結成、アメリカでブレイクしてイギリスに凱旋帰国するまでの物語です。
ライブシーンは観慣れたものも多かったけれど、シアターの爆音で聴くバンドの圧倒的なボルテージは鳥肌でした。
ペイジ、プラント、ジョーンズ、それぞれのメンバーから語られるエピソードも興味深かったですが、個人的には随所に挟まれるボンゾの言葉が心に残りました。
ツェッペリンは兄が教えてくれたバンドです。
随分前に兄の部屋に遊びに行った時にジミー・ペイジの大きなポスターが飾られていたのを思い出します。
時流に乗るのじゃなく世の中を変える音楽。
そんな音楽をこれからも目指していきたいと改めて思いました。
Led Zeppelin
It’s been a while since I last watched a movie in a theater. This time, I saw “Led Zeppelin - Becoming ” It tells the story of the members’ early lives, the formation of the band, their explosive success in America, and their triumphant return to the UK.
Many of the live scenes were familiar, but hearing the band’s overwhelming energy through the theater’s massive sound system gave me goosebumps.
The stories told by Page, Plant, and Jones were fascinating, but personally, it was Bonzo’s words interspersed throughout the movie left the deepest impression on me.
Led Zeppelin is the band my brother introduced me to. I still remember visiting his room years ago and seeing a huge Jimmy Page poster hanging on the wall.
Music that doesn’t just follow the times, but changes them. It reminded me once again that this is the kind of music I want to keep striving to create.
