指先

9月に入って東京は少し天候不順気味。

皆様健やかに過ごされてますか？


今回は指先のお手入れの話。

僕らのような音楽を奏でる者にとっては指先は大切な商売道具です。　

とりわけ爪の手入れには余念がないです。

(1ミリでも違うと弦に指がフィットしないんですよね汗)

 

今自分が使ってるブラシは数年前にある方に頂いたもの。

江戸時代から職人さんが一つ一つ手作りで作っていらっしゃるそうです。


ブラシで一本一本爪をケアしてると、不思議と心が整います。

音楽そのものも大事だけど、それに臨む姿勢はもっと大切なものだと思うから。

人それぞれ大切にしてるものがあるんじゃないかな？

感謝の気持ちを込めて日々使ってると、

いつの間にか自分の相棒のように感じるかもしれません。

自分の身の回りにあるものを大切に。そして心をシンプルに。

Fingertips

September’s come and the weather is a little irregular in Tokyo. 

I hope everyone is spending a healthy and happy holiday season.

This time let’s talk about taking care of your fingertips. 

For musicians like us, fingertips are important tools of the trade, and we really must take extra care of our fingernails.

(If they are even one millimeter different, my fingers don't fit the strings.)

The brush I am using now was given to me by someone a few years ago.

The product is handmade by a craftsman and has been inherited since the Edo period.

When I take care of my nails one by one with the brush, mysteriously I feel in tune with my mind. Music itself is important, but I think the attitude toward it is more important.

I think each person has something they value.

If you use it daily with gratitude, it may feel like your own partner, before you know it.

Cherish what you have around you. And keep your mind simple.
