すでに本家にお送りしておりますが、最後の部分の訳について教えていただいたので、こちらでこっそり修正しておこうかと思います(^o^)
てっきり思い込みで、いい日もあれば悪い日もあるよ、という意味でオーサー・コーチが言ったはず、と訳してしまったのですが、「悪い時は、悪い、でいいじゃないの」というような意味だったかも^^;
それにしても、驚きましたし、stunned というのは、オーサー・コーチのお口があんぐりして、Oh My God となっていたのではないかしら？
stun は、スタンガンのスタンです。瞬間的に衝撃がある様子を表していますので、「ええええええええええええええ？？？？？」っというくらいだったのでしょうね(￣▽￣)
おまけ： せっかくですので、お勉強中の方に。驚いた時の様子を表す表現として。
青天の霹靂は bolt from the blue. 寝耳に水、とも。こんなかんじだったのかしら。そして、おそらくはオーサー・コーチからの電話を受けたトレイシー・ウィルソン・コーチも out from her skin, 死ぬほどびっくりだったかも。肌から突き抜けちゃうほどの衝撃なんて、すごそうですね。びっくり仰天した、という時よく見る単語に flabbergasted というのもあります。音からして、かなり腰抜けた感じがしませんか？( ´艸｀)
もうひとつ、私は今まで「メドヴェデワ」選手と記していましたが、「メドヴェージェワ」の方が近い音らしいので、こちらにしてみました。
思えば、羽生選手も、世界選手権の後で考えるところがあって、経緯はいろいろだったでしょうが、クリケットに渡る英断をされて、今日に至ります。
ハビエル・フェルナンデス選手がいらしたことが、なんとも大きかったのだろうと想像いたしますが、チーム・クリケット特有の、大家族のような雰囲気と、伝統のあるクリケット・クラブの個人を大切にする雰囲気の中で、真剣モードで大切な時間を有効に使って練習に取り組むアスリートたちが、お互いにリスペクトし合う今までの歴史を、今後も守っていかれますように辺境の地よりお祈り申し上げます。

Orser met with Medvedeva, 18, and her mother, Zhanna Devyatova, on Sunday, April 22, at the Mayfield Hotel in Seoul. When the meeting ended, Orser realized what at first seemed unbelievable would soon become reality.

Following a post-Olympic examination, Medvedeva did not defend her world title in March on doctors' advice. Medvedeva had been unbeaten from November 2015 until losing to Zagitova at the 2018 European Championships, the former's first competition after missing several weeks of training because of the broken foot.
