今日の旺龍堂・八卦刀練習会。
受講者は1名の旺龍堂会員の男性。
八卦掌教室に古くから通っている方。

基本練習は勿論のこと、
八つある套路（武術の型・それぞれに八つの技がある）も全て覚えておられます。

そんな彼の突破すべき壁は『心を自由にする』こと。
-
技の正確性には問題はありません。
つまり、八卦掌で最初に求める段階
【定架子（ていかし）】
は十二分に定着しています。

しかし、
「意」を使って技と技とを途切れなく連動させ、
「心」を使って、体を伸びやかに動かす境地
【活架子（かつかし）】
をいつでも発動できるようにする為には・・・

「こうしなくては！」という思考の束縛を離れ、
心を躍動させる必要があるのです。

その為のトレーニングを今日は教えました。

『龍になる』トレーニングです。
-
人間同士が争う為の技術というスタンスを離れ、
天地の間を自由自在に躍動する【龍】になりきる。
-
心を大きくひろげ、それによって体を伸びやかに躍動させるのです。

昔から八卦掌には「龍身」「遊身」などの形容詞がつくことがあります。
それを実際に心と体で現わすのです。

『龍になる』

それは単なる概念ではなく、「八卦掌」という武術が持つ
リアルな心身の在りようなのです。

Today I taught “Ba Gua Zhang” to a man.
He is a long-time OHRYUDO member who has been learning “Ba Gua Zhang” from me for a long time.
He has mastered the basics and can perform all eight "Routines" correctly.
Therefore, he has reached the first level of "Ba Gua Zhang", "Ding Jia Zi".

What he needs to learn now is to "free his mind."
In order for him to reach the next level of “Ba Gua Zhang”, "Huo Jia Zi", he will need:
The ability to seamlessly link techniques together through the guidance of consciousness.
The ability to use the mind to move the body freely.
It is necessary to free his mind from the shackles of thinking, “It has to be this way.”

I taught him how to train for it.
It's training to become a dragon.
In this training, the practitioner abandons the idea that it is a technique for fighting between humans and becomes a “Dragon” that moves freely between heaven and earth.
The practitioner expands his mind, allowing his body to move freely and dynamically.

Since ancient times, “Ba Gua Zhang” has been given adjectives such as “like a dragon's body” and “like making one's body play”.
Practitioners truly embody them in their mind and body.
