友人の結婚式
週末はジョージアのTsinandali(ツィナンダリ）という場所で友人の結婚式でした。
生まれて初めてジョージアに行きましたが
すごく景色がキレイ！
基本的には治安も問題ないのですが
ジョージア以外から来ている人たち
が、アジアの観光客ターゲットに
してくるので、やっぱり狙われます。
そこは注意かなと思いました。
なんかワインのイメージしか
なかったんですが
ジョージアの人たちは
温かくて、親切な人が多いです。
敬虔なクリスチャンの方も
たくさんいるので、
特に教会に行く時に
道に迷ってると
一緒に連れて行ってくれたり。。。
改めて本当の幸せとは？
と考えさせられた1週間でした。
私が一言でもジョージア語を話すと
ものすごい喜んでくれたり
八百屋に行けば
オマケしてくれたり
帰り際も
またいつでもおいでね
と、温かい言葉をジョージアの
人たちがかけてくれて
沢山のHyggeがありました。
ロシアとの関係で
緊張感も漂ってましたが
でも犠牲になるのは
なんの罪もない人たちなんです、、、
早くこの緊張感が終わって
1日も早く
みんなが穏やかに
過ごせますように。
This past weekend, I attended a friend's wedding in Tsinandali, Georgia.
It was my first time visiting Georgia, and the scenery was absolutely stunning! While the overall safety was good, I noticed that some people, particularly those from outside of Georgia, tend to target Asian tourists, so it's something to be mindful of.
I had always associated Georgia with wine, but I was pleasantly surprised by how warm and kind the people were. Many Georgians are devout Christians, and when I got lost on my way to a church, people were eager to guide me there personally.
This past week really made me reflect on what true happiness means.
Whenever I spoke even a single word of Georgian, people were overjoyed. At the local market, I even got a few freebies! As I was leaving, they warmly said, "Come back anytime!" It was a genuine expression of “hygge”—the feeling of coziness and warmth in everyday moments.
There was an underlying tension due to the situation with Russia, but the ones who suffer are always the innocent people.
I truly hope that this tension will come to an end soon, so everyone can live in peace once again.
