Helloビックリマーク

My name is Nao Adamson.

I am a Japanese essayist writing about

international marriage with my English husband.

It is getting colder and colder these days in Niigata.

How is the weather in your town? もみじ

Last summer, my darling and I

had a chance to visit Toyama to see our friends.

Both Toyama and Niigata are located in Hokuriku area

where almost middle of the main island

and faces the Japan Sea Coast which is oposit side of Tokyo.

The population of Toyama is about 400,000.

It actually looked a lovely and cosy city. ニコニコ

In the city center,

there is Toyama Castle.

Let me tell you how I made the paperweight.

When we visited the factory, it was hot summer day in August,

but we were advised to wear long trousers. え゛!

The reason was to protect your feet from the hot heat

because we dealt with extremely hot glass.

Now, we could also choose a few colours

which we wanted to put in the paperweight.

These are the samples. 目

Very colourful, aren't they!!

I choose pink and blue.

The photo below is me bringing out

melting glass from a hot stove.

A female staff next to me is assisting me. メラメラ

After going through the process,

my paperweight was competed. クラッカークラッカークラッカー

It looked like the staff in the factory made it

rather than me created by myself, though.
