One of my favorite seasonal ales.
I was excited to find this in our local grocery store.
Normally it is hard to find.
But the brewery is not that far away.
So much easier to find here in Iowa than it was in Maryland.
This brew is aged in Bourbon Oak Casks... with whole Madagascar Vanilla Beans in them.
Excellent flavor - the ale is smooth tasting but with a lot of personality.
The finishing taste is vanilla.
I like ales and heavier brews mostly.
Especially in the cold winter months.
I tend to drink a lot of Guinness in winter... or full-bodied German black beers.

In Summer I'll drink a lighter flavored pale beer (or ale) or something like an apricot or blueberry flavored ale.
