In the evening, as I was heading to the station after finishing work, I heard the recorded voice of "♪wa~rabi~mochi."
When I was a child, this voice was often heard in town. The mobile vendor selling the sweet was a seasonal sight in the summer. But lately, I have seldom heard the voice.
The "♪wa~rabi~mochi" sound, which I heard for the first time in a while, made me feel delighted and decide to buy a medium size (500 yen).
However, as I paid 500 yen, I felt a little regretful about buying it from the mobile vendor, thinking, "It would have cost less than 200 yen if I had bought it at the supermarket."
When I got home, I told my mother, "I bought some warabimochi," and handed it to her.
After a bite, my mother said, "Delicious!"
It was a little pricey, but I'm glad I bought the warabimochi from the mobile vendor.
