This is to introduce two distinctly different accents in English. According to India Online, population of India in 2011 is 1,210,193,422 (1.21 billion). This figure represents more than a sixth of the world's population. India is projected to be the world's most populous country by 2025, surpassing China, according to Wikipedia: Demographics of India.
This means one in six people in the world is an Indian.
According to Wiki, there are two thousand ethnic groups and each with a dialect officially recognized in India. Their English accents are also affected by their own dialects. This means we will hear more Indian accents in English.
