ひとつの文章の中での音の上り下りを抑揚と言います。
You actually raise and lower the sound pitch of your voice.
実際に音楽のように、音の上がり下がりがあります。
When you make a statement and convey the message that you are sure, you use the falling intonation.
あることを言い、それが自分が考える限りにおいて確実なことを示すために、下降調を使います。
The falling intonation happens at the end of a sentence.
文章の最後で下降します。
If the last word has one syllable, the intonation falls sharply.
文章の末尾の単語が単音節である場合は、最後で鋭く下降します。
If it has more than one syllables, the intonation falls gradually along with each syllable.
多音節の単語の場合は音節ごとに下降します。
Let's take an example here.
また、例に 「これはペンです。」を使いましょう。
This is a pen.
Since this is a pen and I am sure it is, so I will use the falling intonation at the end.
これがペンで、私はそれが確かだと思っているし、Penは単音節ですので、文末は下降調を使います。
Now combining with the stress put on a word within this sentence that I discussed in my last article, I will pronounce this entire sentence as follows.
ここで前回の文中の強調された単語との組み合わせを考え、各々を次のように発音します。
The stressed word is in bold, and intonation is in picture icon.
強調された単語は下線太字で、イントネーションは絵文字で書いてあります。

The example is a statement, so every pattern has falling intonation, however, when you record your own four patterns you will hear the differences.
例は、陳述ですのでどのパターンでも下降調を取ります。でも、各々を発音し、録音してみると、違いが分かります。
This is how the combination of the stresses and intonation works.
強調とイントネーションは、こうして組み合わせます。
Today I wrote the article with a larger font with a lot of space in between sentences.
今日は大きめのフォントで、パカ～と文章の間にスペースをいれて書きました。
I was reading my article yesterday, I thought, gee, this might not help anyone to read for the space was densely populated using a small font.
昨日、自分の記事を読んでいて、小さなフォントでグチャ！と書いてあるので、誰でもこれじゃ読みにくいだろうと思ったからです。
