いつもブログを御覧頂きまして有り難うございます。
既に報道等で御存知の方も多いと思いますが、
12月に予定されていたグランドスラム東京が中止となりました。
我々全日本男子強化チームとしては開催の方向で準備を進めていましたので
率直に言って残念です。
しかしながら東京五輪開催を基準とした判断とのことですから
やむをえません。
今後、全日本としては早急に強化計画を練り直し、
来年の東京五輪へ準備していきます。
66kg級の東京五輪代表選考については
このブログでもお伝えしてきましたように
丸山城志郎と阿部一二三両選手による直接対決で行うことになります。
五輪代表選考を巡っての一騎打ちは史上初のことですから
両陣営とも覚悟を持って準備していくと思います。
我々としては2人が思い切って戦えられるよう
環境を整えていきたいと考えております。

Regarding the Cancellation of the Tokyo Grand Slam
Thank you for checking out my blog.
I’m sure many of you are already aware from the media that the Tokyo Grand Slam planned for December has been cancelled.
It’s an unfortunate outcome for us, the national men’s team, as we already had preparations underway.
However the decision was based on the hosting of the Tokyo Olympics and is therefore unavoidable.
Moving forward ,we are immediately reconsidering our intensive training plan ahead of next year’s Olympics.
As I mentioned previously in this blog, the representative for the 66kg category will be decided in a head on match between MARUYAMA Joshiro and ABE Hifumi.
This is the first time ever that a place on the Olympic team will have been decided by a single one on one matcha and I believe that both athletes will be preparing with that in mind.
We will work on creating the right environment for both athletes to compete at their best.
