Let the Games begin!
We started the day with a warm-up! T-kun was so cute following teachers and counting from 1 to 10!
Sport #1: Javelin
The kids used pencils as javelins. They aimed and threw their javelins into the trays. They looked so proud when their javelins landed in a tray.
Art #1: Olympic Rings
We used the five colors of the Olympic rings- black, blue, yellow, red and green. The kids used paper rolls to create their own Olympic rings!
Time for a snack break! We used three kinds of snacks to trace the letter 'O'. N-chan was arranging her snacks very carefully!
Sport #2: Golf
We tried golf! The kids learned how to hold the golf club properly and swing to hit the ball. They had a lot of fun golfing!
Art #2: Olympic Torch
The torch relay is a sign to show the start of the Olympic Games, so the kids made their own Olympic torches! They decorated the torch holder and "lighted" the fire on their own. They loved holding their torches up!
Sport #3: Archery
This was a little difficult for the kids at first, but they got the hang of it! They practiced shooting their arrows and were excited to see the arrows flying high and far!
Medal Ceremony Congratulations to our athletes! They received their medals and gifts for the day!
