Day 51

Today is Monday which means that my last week of work officially started.

It’s a strange feeling and I am a bit sad already, but I am also excited and already a bit nervous to go home on Saturday.

As I mentioned in my last entry, Emori san invited Putra and me for dinner at his house on Friday. We bought flowers for his wife and some chocolate for the kids and I have to say that I was a bit nervous because it’s not that common in Japan to be invited to someone’s house. But the whole family was really friendly and it was so nice to meet his four little kids who were so cute. We ate Temaki sushi all together which was really delicious and it was a really nice evening. Kohei was invited as well and it was kind of sad to say goodbye to him at the end because I am not seeing him again.

Thanks again for inviting and the delicious food!

Day 50

I think I haven’t told you yet that some parts of the carpet in our office were removed and there are construction works now. I have to say I don’t know if there will be just another carpet or what exactly they are doing, but it’s a bit load and I work upstairs in another area now. It is a bit lonely up here and I hope they will be finished soon.

Emori san invited me and Putra to come to his house for dinner today after work, and I am really excited to meet his whole family and to see his house.

As you know I already met his wife yesterday, and I am looking forward to see her again. Emori san has four kids between the age of 11 and 4 and I am excited to meet them. Kohei is invited as well and I am glad that I get the chance to see him again before I leave.

Have a nice weekend!

Day 48

This morning I went to the hospital because I woke up with a swollen and itchy eye. It hurts a lot and I was afraid because

I didn’t know what it was.
The wife of Emori san came with me and I am so glad that she helped me with everything. The doctor was able to speak English, but having her by my side was really helpful. The doctor said I have a hordeolum which is a commend infection and I got some medicine which I have to use for the next whole week.

I will try to get more rest the next days and I hope my eye will be fine soon.

I want to be fit for my last weekend, because there are so many things left which I want to do.

As I mention before I am hopefully going with Islam to Himeji to see the really famous castle there, and on Sunday we have tickets for the Miyako Odori. I am so glad that we have the chance to see that and I am already excited to see it.

I can’t believe that my last weekend in Japan is coming so soon and I am a bit said about it, but I am also looking forward to see my family again.
