「これはアンバサダーに就任させていただく前から思っていたことでもありますが」
「自分自身に後ろ指をさされないような活動をしていきたいと、より強く思うようになりました。昨日の自分が今日の自分の背中を見たときに『お前、しっかりしろよ！』って言わせないような毎日を過ごさなきゃいけないなって。すべての自分の行動に胸を張って、理由を答えられるような人間でありたいと、改めて強く思っています。それには“羽生結弦”として、自分自身を磨き上げていくだけです」
“This is what I have been thinking even before I became the Ambassador though,
I’ve come to feel more strongly that I want to engage in activities that I can look back on without a hint of shame or regret. I have to live each day in a way that yesterday’s self, looking at today's self from behind, wouldn't say, 'Hey, pull yourself together!' I strongly want to be a person who can be proud of all my actions and provide reasons for them. For that, all I should do is continue to refine myself, as 'Hanyu Yuzuru'."
