The fact that there are 56 candidates running for the Tokyo gubernatorial election is strangely not being taken seriously as a serious issue.
At least, the media has not taken it up as a major issue.

To be eligible to run for governor of Tokyo, you need to fulfill only three basic requirements.
1. You must be a Japanese citizen.
2. Be at least 30 years old.
3. deposit 3 million yen at the Legal Affairs Bureau.

That's all?
Is this democracy?
This should be a festive event.

Instead of embodying democracy, they are playing with it and destroying it.
It's just letting those who just want to show off run for office.
The fact that the NHK party was able to field 24 candidates is also a problem in itself.

Everyone feels it is a problem, but everyone avoids looking at it.
Is everyone just being a hawk and allowing the futility to accompany the realization of populism?
But there is a great possibility that this little frayed spot could bring down the whole of Japan.

With 56 people out, it would take an enormous amount of money just to carry out the public relations projects that have been decided upon.
The media trivializes it by saying that there is not enough space on the poster board, but that is not the only reason.

They are taking over public broadcasting for free.
The political broadcasts totaled over 11 hours on TV.
Each candidate gets 5 minutes and 30 seconds, which would cost billions of yen if it were a company commercial.
I heard that one female candidate even started taking off her clothes in the middle of the broadcast.

When too much freedom allows a few fools to get carried away, laws are passed that excessively take away the freedom of the people.
In other words, the rise of fascism. History has proven this.

I hope that the festivities of the Tokyo gubernatorial election will not become the eve of the rise of fascism in Japan.
