関東地方は、今月22日に梅雨明けして、いよいよ夏本番！！
みなさま、今日はほんっとに、「暑かった」 ですよね～。
東京は今シーズン初 「35℃超え・猛暑日」 を観測しました。
An extremely hot day
少し気になって 「猛暑日」 を調べてみたところ
いくつかの英語表現がありました。そこで、僕の語感も加味して
一番しっくりきた 「気象用語」 をまとめてみました。
① 猛暑日 (35℃以上) ※①～③は最高気温
② 真夏日 (30℃以上)
③ 夏日 (25℃以上)
④ 熱帯夜 (25℃以下にならない夜)
⑤ 熱中症 (高温や多湿の環境下で起こる障害の総称)
⑥ 冬日 (最低気温が 0℃未満)
⑦ 真冬日 (最高気温が0度未満)
※もちろん、正解は１つではございませんが以下参考までに…
① an extremely hot day
② a hot summer day / a tropical day
③ a summer day
④ a tropical night
⑤ heat stroke (illness, disorder)
⑥ a frost day
⑦ an ice day
調べてみますと、「なるほど～」という感じでした。
夏だから、暑い（熱い）からこそ、楽しめることも多いですよね。

IOW (In other words), it is an extremely hot day!!
It is also called "Mou-sho-bi" in Japanese.
Actually, I didn't know how to express several
words about temperature. For that reason I looked
up them by using a couple of dictionaries.
