オリジナルの問題を作っているので、ぜひチャレンジしてください♪

ファーストステップとしてお勧めしている学習方法はディクテーションです。

ただ、Part 4は少し長いので、ディクテーションには時間がかかってしまうことも。

ある程度聞き取れる人は、シャドーイングから入っても良いと思います。

私は小学生の頃からギリシャ神話が大好きで

・4月6日

天秤座の満月。身近な関係の注意が向く。

牡羊座にいる惑星カイロンに太陽が近づく⇒不安や過去の痛みを引き起こす可能性。

自分と他者、両者のバランスのとり方を学ぶ。

 ＜語句＞

mingle：一緒になる。"mingle with ～" で「人と交流する」。

　　　　ここでは、二つの惑星の力が合わり援護をしてくれるという意味。

discipline: 規律。動詞も同形で「しつけをする」などの意味がある。

on top of：うまく処理して、片付けて。

 　"on top of your to-do list" で「To Do リストをより効率良くこなす・管理する」

cozy up to：～と近づく、親しくなろうとする

strike a (the) balance between A and B: AとBのバランスを取る

　「ライフワークバランスを取る」と言いたいときに、この表現が使えますね。

　I want to strike a(the) balance between work and personal life.

4月5日はもうすぐ終わってしまいますが、皆さん振り返ってどうだったでしょうか。

私は結構当たっていて、今日一日で「やるべきこと」「やりたかったこと」を

集中してこなすことができました。

申請していた研究助成が少額ですが認められたりと

本格的に新年度がスタートする気配があります。

花粉症が最近ひどくなってきて、くしゃみが止まらないのが悩みですが…。

1.banは新聞の見出しにもよく使われます。

例えば、最近のロイター通信の記事。

「オーストラリア政府、業務用端末でのTikTokの使用を禁止に。

セキュリティ上の懸念のため」

類義語のprohibitも、一緒に覚えておくとよいですね。

3.bestowは、金メダルの授与など改まったときに使います。

車いすテニスの国枝慎吾選手に国民栄誉賞が授与された時。

共同通信の新聞見出しは以下でした。

bestow ～ on 人の形でよく出てくるので要チェック。

「強化する、高める」という意味の10.boost。

ワクチンの「ブースター」はこの名詞形boosterからきています。

Taking a short walk outside during the 

workday can help boost your productivity.

仕事中に短い散歩をすることは、生産性の向上に役立ちます。

最後に12. broadcast。

TOEICでもよく見かける単語で、名詞や形容詞の意味もあります。

The news station will broadcast the presidential address live at 8 PM.

そのテレビ局は、大統領演説を午後8時に生中継する予定です。
