I received a letter yesterday.
It said about the year-end party of this year
and the members’ present situations.
I was very happy to know
one of my friends is going to get marred in September.
She retired from the company 2 years ago.
I was worried about what she should do after the retirement.
The average life expectancy of Japanese people
has extended dramatically.
So they will still enjoy their life together.
I will ask her various things at the next meeting.

昨日、手紙を受け取りました。
それには、今年の忘年会と皆さんの近況が書かれていました。
友人の一人が、９月に結婚することを聞いて
嬉しくなりました。
彼女は、２年前に定年退職しました。
退職後は、どうするのだろうと心配していました。
日本人の平均寿命は、劇的に伸びています。
まだ、しばらく二人で生活を楽しめることでしょう。
次回会ったら、色々聞いてみようと思います。
