Hi everyone!

In the simple future tense, often times "Will" and "Going to" can have the same meaning.

For example:

I am going to go to the store.

I will go to the store.

There is no difference here.  However, as a native speaker, it is worth pointing out that I always say these a little differently.

It is much more common to hear "I`m gonna go to the store."  Or, "I`ll go to the store,"

Have a nice weekend!

Hi everyone.

The word "When" can be used as both a question and a time clause.  Can you tell the difference below?

A)  When I went home

B)  When did you get home

A) is inocmplete.  We need to write more.  It can be made into a complete sentence like this:

When I went home, I washed my hands.

B) is ok.  It is a complete question. The only thing missing is punctuation.  So add a question mark:

When did you get home?

Hi.  This is Matt.  I am from Boston.  In Boston, we have a professional sports team playing throughout the whole year!

Boston Red Sox: baseball.  April to September

Boston Celtics:  basketball.  November to May

Boston Bruins:  hockey.  October to April

New England Patriots:  football.  September to January

Boston is a great place for sports!

-Matt

Hi everyone!

Lets take a look at these sentences.  Pronouns (I, you, he...) wiith the verb Be (Am, is, are...) and an adjective.

I am cold.

You are cold.

He is cold.

She is cold.

It is cold.

He and she refer to masculine ( A man, a boy) and feminine (A woman, a girl).

So....

Matt is cold = He is cold

Maria is cold = She is cold

We use for things that are not people

The room is cold = It is cold

I hope everyone has a nice week!   Matt
