delicate sham

I bought Chris King headset on ebay.

and --- the headset turned out to be false..........

I know that the fake Chris King headset previously-existed as bellow

But that I bought is evolutionally-advanced and on a different level ! !

I've never seen such an delicate sham like this before.

and many people can tell the real from the false practically impossible.

As a basis, surprisingly, the seller gets 100% positive feedbacks on ebay, over 100 transaction ! ! !

So no one is aware of the fact they bought a fake ! ! !

The focus is -----

On the surface,

It's immediately obious the white plastic shim (under the top cap) doesn't go with the fake headset.

The Fake is wrapped in a thin plastic bag with no tag information.

Top cap screw with punched mark (genuine) and nothing(fake).

Etched character on the fake is more spidery (^_^;)

The Real Chris King on the left is new type "SOTTE VOCE".

Etched image of the past Classic type is more and more spidery.

So ---- It sems the fake is model for the classic type.

Milling mark of the fake is rough

At first glance, No difference.

authentic-looking sealed bearing

Looks amazingly beyond recognition

Differences are thickness of bearing cup body ,finish of the edge and width of the seal.

So microscopical !

Larger space between I & N on the fake bearing cup.

About the fake, It looks like there is a border around the charactor to the naked eyes.

Width of plain milling part of the fake is larger.

In zooming up, can take the difference --- milling mark.

It's almost invisible to the naked eye.

upper is genuine, lower is fake

126g VS 123g

I'm afraid to say that the plastic shim weights nearly 0g.

So Genuine is little bit heavier.

Buyers beware.
