~May (The Dreaming Place Rose Garden)
◆Kimitsu, Chiba
Kimitsu is placed in the middle of Boso peninsula where my dad was born and we have a tomb there (tomb of my father's family). The area where my dad's home is so far from the nearest town.
Near the area there is a rose garden called "The Dreaming Place Rose Garden." I wondered why such a rose garden is. It's so far that nobody dare to visit.
But the garden is so beautiful. Literally, "The Dreaming Place." You can see lots kinds of roses from spring to fall. We visit there twice or thrice a year to enjoy taking photos of my poms.
Although it's incovenient to reach the garden, it must satisfy everyone who visits there. The garden is full of roses and seasonal flowers such as elder flowers, irises and lotus. You can even enjoy teatime by the garden.
Lots of people visit there to enjoy the beautiful garden. They say the same thing: "Why is there a beautiful garden like this in a forest far from the town?"
◆If you'd like to have photos, around a barn is the best place
Placing in a deep forest and between hills, the sun sets earlier than other place. The garden closes at 5:00 p.m. even in summer. The roses in the garden are in full bloom in May and June. After that you can enjoy roses in autumn. July and August are not the time to enjoy the garden. It has a gap between summer and autumn rose and we have to wait for their blooms■
