お正月の準備 / To prepare for "Oshougatsu"

In Japan, New Year's is the most important and elaborate holiday just like Christmas in Europe and the USA. New Year's holidays is called "Oshougatsu", is a time when everybody takes a few days off to celebrate the arrival of the new year. Many people who are away from home, return to spend time with their family.

To prepare for "Oshogatsu", everybody gets busy doing a lot. I'll introduce bit by bit.

クリスマスカード / Chriistmas card

The greeting card for New Year is called "Nenga jyou" in Japan, we send it to arrive on January 1st. ( I will post my blog about "Nenga jyou" next time.)

Japanese people write "Nengajyou" more than Chriistmas card.

I've collected the appropiate words which we can send for a Chriistmas card.

日本では、新しい年を迎える挨拶状は年賀状と言って１月１日に届くように送ります。

ジャパンレイルパス / Japan Rail Pass

Japanese goverment has 5 policies, one of the policies is "TOURISM ", so Japan wants many to tourist to come to Japan. Japanese goverment and Japanese company are joining forcus forces to make various good plans for tourist, I'm envious.

Today, I've found this !!! It's "Japan Rail Pass" , and it is amazing!

If you plan to travel Japan and visit some places for different regions spending one week or more, Buying "Japan Rail Pass" is a very good way to save a transportation expense.　I suggest you go to see it.

・It is use of JR trains, buses and ferries including Shinkansen lines.

・It is unlimited use within the period of validity. For 7 days costs 28,300 yen.

<Attention> Please note Japan Rail pass can be bought only outside Japan and it is only for "temporary visitors".

I'm envious because Japanese cannot have the pass. Actually, it has a really good value. For example, when you make a round trip between Osaka and Tokyo by Shinkansen, it costs 27,500 yen. Meanwhile, a Japan Rail Pass for 7 days costs 28,300 yen. It is obvious how valuable the pass is.

師走(shiwasu),12月(jyuu-ni-gatsu) / December

It is already December. Time flies very fast.

In Japanese for December in Japanese is "Jyuu-ni-gatsu (12月)" which literally means, "twelfth month".　In Japanese has other word that each month has an older Japanese name.

December is called "Shiwasu (師走)".　

The old names are not usually used today, but "Shiwasu" is especially. "Shiwasu" is more often used more often than the word instead of "Jyuu-ni-gatsu (12月)".

師走(Shiwasu) is written with kanji caracters for " 師= teacher" and " 走= to run".

December is so such a busy monthes that because we have to prepair to complete duties that have to be done this year for next moths and have to do that we haven't anything done it yet this year. So I wonder if that means like going to run too fast on December?

I'm the type that I just feel busy in my mind, but I don't do anyting.

もう１２月ですね。時間が過ぎるのは早いですね。

日本語でDecemberは１２月と言って１２番目の月という意味です。

他にも日本語には、どの月にも古くから日本の名前が付いています。

１２月は"師走"と言います。

他の月の日本語名はあまり使わないのですが、１２月だけは何故か特別です。

１２月と言わず、"師走"ということも多いです。　

"師走"の漢字の意味は、師＝先生　走＝走る　です。

１２月は来年の準備とか今年のやり残しで忙しいです。だから走るように過ぎて行くということなのかしら？

私は気分だけ忙しくて実は何もやっていない・・・というタイプです。

韓国(Kankoku) に行ってきました / I've been to Korea

Recently, I am interested in Korea. K-POP, Drama, Cosmetic and English skill nods and shakes the spheres.

I've been to Korea because there it is near. KOREA ♪

.... Actually there is Korean town at Shin-okubo in Japan.

I was surprised there were that 80% of the people were aunts who love Korean dramas.　And also I don't know why aunts came to Korean town with 4 or 5 members, made a impassioned speech loudly about Korean drama. I was a little scared.

Shin-okubo looks like Korea. We can eat Korean food and buy Korean cosmetic etc ♪

My skin is getting worse year by year. So I bought 22 pieces of sheeted pack mask set that each musk made from different natural ingredients. I wonder if I won't buy a sheeted pack mask for a long time.

The shop staff gives me a paper cup. Why Tohoshinki's ???
