『わたしたちは
誰かを愛し、誰かに愛される

"Serendipitous" by moumoon
After a long time, I'm listening to moumoon's music.
I've been listening to their "Serendipitous," one of the songs included in their 7th album "Flyways" The Japanese words I've added at the begining of this blog post are parts of the lyrics of the song, actually. I really like its melody and lyrics.
My honey likes their "Love Is Everywhere"
I'll write about moumoon sometime including their "Fullmoon Live." Though many Japanese people don't know them at all, I think their music is world-class. And they sure have lots of fans all over the world.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2019
In Hawaiian language, it's "Hau'oli Makahiki Hou 2019."
It's a Hawaiian hand gesture called "Shaka Sign," which means "Hang Loose."
2019 is the Year of the Boar.
Now, Eggs 'n Things in Japan is serving "New Year's Zenzai Pancakes"
Their New Year's pancakes are served with two ice creams. Each is wrapped in rice cake ... one is covered in red and the other one in white. You know, red is usually translated as 赤, or aka, in Japanese. On the other hand, Japanese people also have a word "紅白," kouhaku, and the word literally means red and white.
In Japan, 紅白 is said to bring good luck, so we use the colors when we welcome the new year.
Aloha.
I really like Japanese-style pancakes offered by Eggs 'n Things, like Kyoto-limited "Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes."
Well. "Zenzai," ぜんざい, is a traditional Japanese dish that has stewed red beans sweetened with sugar and sticky rice cake. It's hard to explain, but it's said that a dish called ぜんざい refers to different things in Kanto and Kansai regions.
Also, they are doing "Spicy Ahi Bowl [Coriander] "
It started on December 26 and will be avaiable till the end of this month. It's served with coriander as you see.
It tasted great, though I don' think this kind of seasonal dish is good, I mean, an arranged version of an item on their regular menu. I love both Ahi Poke and Corriander, you know.
"New Year's Zenzai Pancakes" just started today to celebrate the new year and will be served until January 15.
They're also selling "Lucky Bag 2019." It comes in 2 kinds: Lucky Bag 3000 and Lucky Bag 5000. Each number means its price.Of course I got both.
Both kinds have 1 "COCONUT COOKIES." I wonder what they taste like. I'm having them.
Hau'oli Makahiki Hou 2019.
I visited my favorite temple "Zojoji." The tempe has appeared in this blog many times, you know.
And special thanks to many of Ohana, staff members of Eggs 'n Things. I've been with my hon thanks to you all. Mahalo.
