My honey Kouta became 50 years old yesterday. バースデーケーキ Again, Happy Birthday to Kouta.ギター I love you forever and ever.ラブラブ

Well, as I wrote in "Hau'oli la Hanau," his birthday is 12. 3. He was born on Dec. 3, 1968.

He's been staying in Los Angeles, U.S., but I don't have time to go abroad. So, instead, I went to Sendai, Japan on 12. 3, Japan time. It's said there's a 17 hour time difference between Tokyo and L.A. and that the latter is 17 hours behind.

Some of you might remember that he was born in a place called Shiogama, which is also located in Miyagi prefecture.

I visited Matsushima and Sendai in Miyagi in August this year. I stayed in Sendai for a few days then while Tanabata festival was held there, you know. I wrote about it in  "Matsushima & Sendai" and "Make A Wish☆"

This time, I took a one-day trip to Sendai to have "Zunda Pancakes" offered by Eggs 'n Things Sendai, which is one of my favorite locations. They restarted their "Zunda Pancakes" as they marked its 2nd anniversary this month. Congratulations for both.クラッカー

Their renewed and reborn "Zunda Pancakes" just started at the begining of this month. They are only available in Eggs 'n Things Sendai.

A bit darker photos somehow.

They finally made it. They did an amazing job. Well, Eggs 'n Things Sendai has been making great efforts to start their "Zunda Pancakes" again.

"Hau'oli la hanau," or "Happy Birthday," to Kouta on 12. 3, 2018 in Sendai, Japan.

You know, almost all the locations of Eggs 'n Things restaurants in Japan were once having store-limited menus, which didn't last for so long. Now only Kyoto and Sendai locations are doing exclusive pancakes, I guess. Kyoto's ones are named "Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes," which are said to have been very popular since they first started. Kyoto's were even available in all the locations for a limited time this year. I had them three times in Kanto region as I wrote in "Appreciation." I've mentioned their Kyoto-limited pancakes many times, you know:

"Kaoru, Uji Matcha Pancakes."

Only available in Eggs 'n Things Kyoto. The photo is from "Happy Valentine's Day" and so on.

I hear Daichi-san, who was once the store manager of the Kyoto location, is now the store manager of the newest location opened in Nagoya last month. I came by Eggs 'n Things Kyoto while he was the store manager, so the location without him sounded weird to me at first, actually. But I also know who the current manager is, and I like him too. I know both are good at their jobs, but I wonder if they're doing fine.

Go back to the original topic. Yep, Sendai's "Zunda Pancakes."

One of the female Ohana there told me that their Zunda are homemade. I think it's also awesome. You know, as I posted pictures in "Matsushima & Sendai," I had many Zunda items while I was in Miyagi in August this year. Some were to my taste while others were not. Likewise, some people like or love Zunda while others dislike or hate it. Oh, I'll write about what kinds of Zunda items I had yesterday sometime.

I think many people would love their "Zunda Pancakes" because their Zunda is mild and soft. Come by Eggs 'n Things Sendai and try their local pancakes. I've heard especially local people would often had their previous Zunda Pancakes while they were offered. Though the new version just started on December 1 this year, both tourists as well as local people seem to have tried them.

Guess what?

I gave my hon two flavors of "Shiogama Sea Salt" after I took a trip to Sendai last summer. It comes in 5 flavors so far, and I got the other three for him this time. Hey, my honey. I'll send them sometime, so just look forward to receiving the souvenirs. Come back to Japan safe and sound. 飛行機
