When I taught a class on planting seedlings to students at a mentally disadvantaged facility a short while back, I was concerned with the seedlings available for planting as they were almost all in the rather difficult category for beginners.
As such, I decided to make some beefsteak plant seedlings for them, since the plants are quite hardy and very productive. The seedlings reached transplanting size and an employee of the care facility picked them up yesterday. With a bit of luck, the students will have tasty leaves to eat with somen and other foods in a few more weeks.
先日、知的障碍者施設で野菜の苗の植え方を教えた際、施設が購入した比較的に育ちにくい苗に注目しました。そこで、ある程度簡単に育つ紫蘇の苗を作るように考えました。やっと渡せる大きさになったため、昨日施設の方に渡しました。皆様が食べる分の葉っぱができるように祈っています。
