On May 28, the Legislative Yuan, equibalent to an national assemb;ly in Taiwan, passed a lagislative bill to amend "the Act Governing the Legislative Yuan's Power" with a majority voting by the opposition Kuomintang (KMT) and Taiwan People's Party (TPP).
Persons oppsing to the bill to upgrade the authority of the Legislative Yuan carried out protest-rallies.
The protest campaing was named the "Blue Bird Action."
Cheng Chung-Lan, who covered "Blue Bird Action" in Taipei, talks about the background of the the Act Governing the Legislative Yuan's Power bill and the situation of the "Blue Bird Action" in the following footage.
