Sivan : Sometimes. Yeah.

Travis : Now, I mean, we're gonna talk about the music video, just because talk about an incredible visual. But when you're making a song like 'Rush', I mean, do those images start to start to populate in your mind, when you're cutting vocals?

Sivan : For sure. I think, like that's when I know that I'm feeling something is when, um... when I start to imagine the video, and also like when I start to move my body in the studio. Then I'm like, Okay, this is clearly like evoking something, um... but the video was just like, you know, it's really cool. The visual, I think, has really kind of set the tone for the album. And kind of it was important to me to build a world. I've always strived so hard.

Sivan : I care so much about the visuals, almost as much as I care about the music, and um...working with Gordon Bon Steiner, who directed the video. He's like been a friend of mine for a really long time. And we went to Berlin, like we were talking about throwing a party and filming it. And we decided, we're like, Okay, well, where else? Like, let's just go to Berlin! And so, we packed our bags. And it was like a friend trip basically. We just went to Berlin for like a week, and filmed it. And it was so sick.

Travis : Now that you've said that it makes complete sense. Yeah. I went to Berlin in April.

Sivan : I also think for me, like, being a bit more kind of relaxed in work, allows me to like go out more and stuff like that. So, the week was just actually genuinely fun, like we were going out as well. And the cast in the video was so cool and so nice. And we all, you know, like hung out the next day, even when we weren't filming.

Sivan : Two days. Yeah. It was two days, which is a lot for a music video these days, you know, normally it's like a one day shoot, and so, we felt kind of extravagant for having two.

Travis : And, in an era, where it feels like, you know, the art of the music video is almost lost. Right. We live in this instant gratification. People want things fast, and it's just, it's so easily consumed. How does it feel to watch a video like this absolutely take off?
トラヴィス：今の時代、ミュージックビデオという芸術性が、ほとんど失われつつあるように感じるね。ぼくたちは、一瞬の満足感を求めて生きてるんだ。物事を早く求めすぎるし、簡単に消費されてしまうしね。こういうビデオが爆発的にヒットするのを見るのは、どんな気分なの？
Sivan : I mean, I'm just so happy, because, it means that I get to make more of them. Because, you know, it's like, you really gotta fight to kind of like, get visuals, made these days. Unless it's like for Tick Tock, you know, like that's easy to get, made you know for the videos. It's just a big ask, you know, because people don't really watch youtube videos.

Sivan : And so, um... for me, though, it's just like such a part of the expression, that I was like, Oh, what do I have to do, like literally, you know, who do I have that whatever, to get this video made. Because I will do it. And um... I'll do it. Even without the video to be honest, but um... no yeah, it worked. So we got the video made. And now, because I think, because people are like responding to the video, as much as they are the song. I get to do it again. So I'm really excited now.（Read more in part3）

Troye Sivan has announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2024.
The tour is in support of Sivan’s acclaimed album ‘Something To Give Each Other’, which was released back in October. The record ? Sivan’s first in five years ? scored the Australian a glowing five-star review from Nick Levine for NME. Levine wrote: “It’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
Hailed by The Guardian as "one of this year's best and most distinctive pop albums" and celebrated by Rolling Stone as "a pristine slice of pop heaven," the Something to Give Each Other Tour is destined to be Sivan 's biggest, boldest and brightest tour.
Sivan’s 17-date run will begin in Portugal on May 29, 2024, before continuing throughout Europe. Sivan arrives in the UK on June 22 at the Manchester AO Arena; the tour will conclude in Birmingham.Tickets for the shows go on sale on December 8 at 9am.
