Today is the Labour Day long weekend before the start of a new school year (all the students are back in Kingston ガーン). Wendy has invited me out to her hometown in Gananoque to kayak together. It was a perfect sunny day for kayaking. She drove all the way from Gananoque to Kingston to pick me up at 9 am. We started the day early beacuse we knew the day will get hot quickly. It felt like a summer today! We slathered the sunscreens on 爆 笑.

Looking on the map today, I learned that Lake Ontario turns into St. Lawrence River which then connects to the Atlantic Ocean and even into the Bay of Fundy (where I lived by in Wolfvillve). It's so cool that everything connects.

We got on the kayak from Landon Bay. Landon Bay lookout is where I hiked with Janice almost two years ago.

I just realized this now as I am writing - today is actually my 3rd year anniversary in Kingston! This past two years in Kingston have been a journey. It made me apprecitae the value of friends when you move for work and know nobody in the city 照れ.

Back to kayaking...it was very calming, and at the same time, pretty good arm workout. Along the way, we saw turtles and turkey vultures.

Wendy shared her plums she brought. Snack is always a good idea (mental note 鉛筆). The juicy plums tasted extra good on the water.

I think we kayaked for almost 2 hours. Wendy took me to her home for lunch after, and I met all her animals (Lucy犬, Keltie犬, Gerty猫, and Molly猫). They were all so calm, cuddly, and sweet...and her home and driveway were beautiful. Like a dream country home.

It was a very relaxing day!
