* What is this announcement about?

>The Pebble Lake festival

What is the bebble?

Pebble is a small, smooth stone. Thes late evidently has pebbles in it. That's probably why it got its name. The waives probaly rob the stones of the rocks to smooth and make it small so it would be pebble Lake

But it doesn't seem like a very famous, does it?

No, because the woman says never heard of it.

But later on she starts loving it.

Yeah, because she wonders ... What's going to do with the kids they're going to do something fun with them.

festibal free environmental too good to be true

* What kind of festival is it?

> It's a free outdoor ivent to promote environmental education.

It's basically promote respect for nature becouse all of the events there center around nature and ecucation about nature and ..

What kind of activties do they have?

The one that seems interesting to me is Scanvenger hunts.

That's something is our listeners probably have never heard of it before.

Maybe they know. You have a list of thing, right?

Yeah, and you have to find everything on the list.

There is also looks like there's horse trail ride, another activety they have.

And guided tours of plants and wild life. So that's edcational as well.

Moving on to the next one.

Scavenger hunts. /education / horse trail rides /guided toures prants and wilf life

ends on Thursday

scavenger - An animal, such as a vulture or housefly, that feeds on dead or decaying matter.

* How many miles away from town is the festival?

> What would be the somple answer? The simple answer is 35 miles away, north of town.

Quite convenient less than an hour.

Depends on how fast you drive. But within an hour. And kid would live it because when kids have to  drive farther, always asking when will we get there, are we there yet?

Here come the last question.

* When does the festival end?

> On Thursday.

How do you contact them?

That was triky because information came really quickly, didn't it?

Yeah but it's kid of easy to remember if you just remember 1800 funfest. So you don't have to remember all the numbers.

That's a good point. And I guess the web page is easy because it actually the name of the festival, right? So you go to www. pebbleLakefastival.com

big spider

I think a lot of people would use the word big but in the dialog they use the word huge which means really big. So let's use huge here as well. A huge spider which is called a cane spider or a huge spider that is called a cane spider. Now you don' need which is or that is, more conversationally all you have to say is a huge spider called a cane spider.

another one

There's a short and handy phrase we can use here, I would write or I woud suggest writing another one.

ようです

There is..

Well obviously we're not sure, she's just saying eek, so the pattern would be there seems to be .... it would be there seems to be another one there.

是非...

Actually there are two ways I think we can do this. I think the first way we can use the word "eager" . And eager is a great word, it's a great way to express how much you want to do something. It even sounds like when you say it, it sounds like I really want to do this eagerly. Right on the mark. So here it'll be eager to adopt him. And for the second way, again we know he wants to do this really badly. So let's use the verb "want" and just show how much he wants to do it. we can add very much at the end of the phrase. So in this case, it'll be he wants to adopt him very much.

ようです。

Also actually there are two way as you can say this is well, first one would be, it seems like .. . The other way, it looks like ... and this phrase would be put at the beggining of what Carolin just said. So it'd be something like it seems like the man is eager to adopt him. Or it looks like the man wants to adopt him very much.

**********************************************************************

At an animal shelter, a man asks the stuff member about a dog. The dog's name is Ko-chan. And he was found in a park. It seems like the man is eager to adopt him.
