Celebrating with Sushi

Several of us got together to celebrate the publication of a new book.

We celebrated in style at a great sushi bar!

You've got to check out these photos. Have you ever seen such beautiful sushi?

This IS the REAL THING! Wonderfully beautiful! Pure art! Incredibly delicious!

Now, of course, you can't have top-of-the-line sushi without also having top-of-the-line sake.

We did!

It was a great evening that I will always remember and appreciate!

Life is good!

The book, by the way, is one of the most useful books for those learning English EVER WRITTEN!

Well, I don't know for sure, because I can't read the Japanese parts very well, but that's what people who know Japanese tell me :-)

NHK English Course

On Saturday morning, I participated in my first NHK class, assisting my boss Hiroshi Funatsu.

It was exciting for me because I wrote the story we used for the extensive reading part of the curriculum.

The story is called "Going Home" and I wrote it with my nephew Matthew in mind, who is still in a coma since a terrible accident over 10 years ago.

As you can see by the picture, the main character has a special power: the ability to go through solid objects.

Saturday, the 30th, we will be using another story that I wrote.

I'm hoping that our students find my stories interesting, so that they will be more motivated to read and learn English.
