【アシガバート/トルクメニスタン 21日 AFP】首都アシガバート（Ashgabat）に、「The House of Free Creativity」なる巨大な本型の建物が建設された。サパルムラト・ニヤゾフ（Saparmurat Niyazov ）大統領により建設された同ビルは、「自由な報道環境の創出」を目指し建てられたとされるが、実際には政府による厳しい報道規制が敷かれているのが現状である。独裁色を強めるニヤゾフ大統領は、自身の哲学思想を網羅した『ルフマナ（Rukhnama、精神世界の意）』を著しており、学校での学習を義務化している。写真は19日、アシガバートに完成した「The House of Free Creativity」。(c)AFP

 In accordance with the state programme on development and improvement of roads and urban settlements of Rukhabad district bordering the Turkmen capital, the Turkish company Tursen Turizm we Insaat Tijaret A.S carries out the works on improvement of 8-kilometre section of the road between Kipchak and Abadan settlements. The total cost of the works is about 2 million US dollars. The works are to be completed by February 2007, by the beginning of the tourist season.
